My current visa has expired. What now?
According to the immigration rules, you are required to renew, update or change your immigration status with CIC at least 30 days before your current visa expires. We all know that there may be reasons that lead to a situation where your visa has expired and you have not applied to renew it. In this situation, according to CIC, you are required to leave Canada immediately as your current visa has expired. That being said however, there are options that are available to you which may allow you to restore your status in Canada. To learn more about these options contact us for a consultant.
Why choose a regulated Canadian immigration consultant (RCIC) when I can do it myself?
Before deciding if you will be using a representative to handle your case, you may question whether or not you even need one. You have probably heard stories of people filling out the forms, paying the government fees and they get a visa. However, you may have also heard of other people getting their applications refused and thereby making it harder for them to obtain status in the future. The bottom line is that immigration matters are very important, and you should always seek legal advice and help for your case to ensure that you are aware of all of your options and nothing is left out for your case.
